Why I Stopped Offering Romance Readings

July 19, 2024

A few years ago I had a client purchase a recorded video reading from me. They wanted to know if I could see their ex in their future, among all the other standard things - what will I be doing, where will I be living, etc.  It was clear that their ex would not be returning, but I was shown my client's life path.

I remember this so vividly. I was being shown a roadmap of their life. It was stretched out in front of them and there were markers and milestones dotted along the way. The end of their life was when they were well into their 90's. Content, surrounded by generations of children, grandchildren. All well loved and provided for. It was a beautiful life.  I shared all of this with my client and I even got a little emotional in the video.  It was a lovely, inspiring, empowering reading.  I sent my client the link and anxiously awaited what was sure to be their delighted response.

"So my ex isn't coming back?"

I shit you not.

I had just given this person a glimpse into the beautiful life that was waiting for them - without their ex - and they completely ignored the gravity and magic of that.  WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.

That was when I stopped giving love readings.

Listen, I get it.  I love love.  LOOOOOVVVVEEEEE it. I'm probably the biggest, most hopeless romantic that I know.  I've been single for years now and wonder daily if I will ever love and be loved again. The boyfriend in my night stand is exhausted, ifyouknowwhatImean. 😉  But if I was given the amazing opportunity to have my life laid out in front of me with actionable steps and empowering insights, that is a gift horse that I would not look in the mouth.

I know that we all want love - or to know that we are deserving of love. But I've just seen too many clients - whether in one-on-one sessions, or live session on social media - that have completely lost sight of the big picture.  It's frustrating and disheartening for me as a compassionate human, and as a psychic.

Here's another thing to consider;  we are not meant to know everything that will unfold in our lives.  Nor is it even possible!  As I've said a million times before and I'll say a million times again, we have free will.  That is the blessing and curse of being a human being.  Free will. That means that the lessons that we are meant to learn in our lives are fated, but the people and circumstances surrounding them are up for grabs and can change at any time.  Free will. If you're meant to know a certain kind of love, then trust me, you will, but thinking that you or I have any say over when and with whom that will happen, when we all have free will is a level of arrogance that is also exclusive to being a human.

My advice?

  •  Stay present.  This moment is literally all that we have.

  • Be grateful. We are living, breathing miracles. If you're lucky enough to get glimpses into your future, be thankful for them.

  • Trust the Universe. Have faith that what is meant for you will not pass you by.

  • Give your psychic/tarot reader/spiritual teacher a freaking break. We are human too.

  • Make the relationship with yourself the best example of love in your life.

*Side note - you are always welcome to ask me love related questions during your sessions.  Always. I'll always do my best to give you the clearest and most empowered answer and guidance that I can.

As always, you can book your personal sessions with me at spiritualcoffee.ca.  I'm also offering a super fun new reading over on my Instagram!!  It's coffee cup divination. Like tea leaves, but with coffee.  Because I'm Spiritual Coffee.  Get it?  Anyhoo, they are available for an introductory offer now and I'm booking into next week.  Head to my Instagram - @spiritualcoffee.ca to snag one for yourself!

Loveyoukaybyeeeee,
